Flash firmware

The flasher will open an ESP Web Tools page. Chrome or Edge on desktop only.
Update steps
- Hold the firmware-update button combination while the box powers on. The exact keys will be listed with the first firmware.
- Connect USB-C to the computer you will flash from.
- Flash the firmware. Until the browser tool is live, we will send the file by email.
- Settings are kept.
Troubleshooting
The box is not detected
Use a data-capable USB-C cable and try another port. If it still does not appear as a USB HID device, email us with the computer and cable you used.
The LEDs stay off
The LEDs are powered from the USB-C port. Reseat the cable. If the keys work and the LEDs do not, email us.
A button is not registering
Note which key it is and whether the LED for that key lights. That is enough for us to tell a cap issue from a switch issue. The detailed check will be updated after the first units ship.
Bindings
Bind the SC-MFD in Star Citizen like any other USB HID device. The box is not locked to one ship.
